AC Milan narrowly escaped defeat in Serie A as Luka Jovic’s dramatic equalizer in the dying minutes secured a 2-2 draw against Salernitana on Friday. The Rossoneri, coming off a convincing 3-0 win in the last round, reintroduced Ismael Bennacer into the starting lineup. In contrast, Salernitana, languishing at the bottom of the table, had only secured one victory in 16 previous outings, as reported by Xinhua.
Milan took the lead in the 17th minute when Rafael Leao’s cross from the right led to a series of ricochets, ultimately finding the net through Fikayo Tomori’s prodding effort. However, Bennacer’s poor clearance risked an own goal, saved by teammate Mike Maignan.
Salernitana managed to level the score in the 43rd minute, with Federico Fazio’s towering header beating Maignan. The game took a turn in the 63rd minute when Antonio Candreva’s long-range strike put Salernitana in the lead.

Despite the draw, AC Milan holds onto the third spot with 33 points, maintaining a three-point lead over fourth-placed Fiorentina, who secured a 1-0 victory against Monza on Friday.
