The highest totals for IND-W in the Women’s T20 World Cup, IND-W, with their blistering batting ability, have posted the highest totals for the team in the prestigious tournament of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. The highest total was against the New Zealand Women’s Cricket Team at Providence in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2018, where Harmanpreet Kaur’s ton played the key role in posting that many runs on the board.
The record was once again revised as, in the IND W vs PAK W match, Smriti Mandhana, with her 68-run knock, took India to a total of 170, and this was the third-highest total ever made by IND-W in the Women’s T20 World Cup.

In that match, both the openers, Taniya Bhatia and Smriti Mandhana, got out early, and the run-scoring responsibility fell on the shoulders of Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur. IND W vs PAK W, the 6th match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, witnessed history as India posted their highest total ever in Women’s T20 World Cup history. The historic match was played at Edgbaston, Birmingham. The toss was won by Harmanpreet Kaur. The pitch at Edgbaston was batting-friendly.
The innings began with the first over of Sadia Iqbal and both the Indian openers, Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana. Shafali Verma got out in the very first over of Sadia Iqbal and couldn’t score many runs, as she got out on 6(5).
After losing the important wicket of Shafali Verma, the responsibility of scoring runs and running the scoreboard was on Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues, who came in at No. 3, but Jemimah’s wicket fell early, and she scored 1(7). Indian-W captain Harmanpreet Kaur came to the crease at No. 4.
At 7.5 overs, Smriti Mandhana lofted the ball, and it went up in the sky. The catch seemed easy at mid-off, but Aliya Raza dropped the most important catch of the innings, as Smriti Mandhana was on just 27 runs, and everybody was predicting whether it could be the catch of the match or not.
