MI London Women’s new Captain, Hollie Armitage, will lead the franchise for the first time in the upcoming season of The Hundred. The franchise, formerly known as Oval Invincibles, is being brought under the control of the Ambani-backed Mumbai Indians; this marks a new chapter in the history of the MI London Women’s franchise.

Additionally, the newly appointed Captain will join Head Coach Lisa Keightley, after having previously coached (together) the Northern Superchargers during their title-winning season in 2025.

Lisa Keightley Backing Hollie Armitage’s Leadership

MI London’s head coach Lisa Keightley stated that the franchise specifically chose Hollie Armitage for her leadership skills, and how well she has done so far, during the March auction.

Moreover, Keightley believes Hollie possesses the tactical intelligence, poise under pressure, and decisive decision-making abilities that were parameters MI London established for evaluating short-form players.

Additionally, MI London is pleased with their current squad and will remain updated on the performance of aspiring domestic players in the upcoming Vitality Blast, so that they can finalize their team in the summer.

Hollie Armitage and Lisa Keightley Reunite After Title Success

One of the most exciting things being discussed about the 2026 season of The Hundred is the reunion of Hollie Armitage and Lisa Keightley. Their partnership with Northern Superchargers established a solid base based on trust, the ability to make tactical decisions, and a mindset focused on victory.

Since taking over as captain from Lauren Winfield-Hill in 2022, Hollie Armitage led the Northern Superchargers to become one of the top teams in this tournament. Now, both Hollie and Lisa will work together again to replicate this success with MI London.

Hollie Armitage Excited About MI London Challenge

In her comments after being appointed as MI London Women’s captain, Hollie Armitage called it “an incredible opportunity.” She added to this by praising Lisa Keightley’s coaching style and stating that she was “really excited” to lead the team in front of a big crowd at The Oval during The Hundred.

Armitage illustrated further the goals of the squad about continuing on from last season and developing MI London into one of the strongest teams in women’s cricket.

MI London Preparing for Strong Hundred Campaign

MI London Women is set to make an impact from day one of The Hundred 2026, under the leadership of captain Hollie Armitage and head coach Lisa Keightley.

The new ownership model that MI London has implemented will combine with a very experienced team on the field and off the field to energize fans and cricket analysts at this early stage of preparation.

Now, as the season approaches, all eyes will be focused on how Hollie Armitage leads MI London during an incredibly competitive season ahead.
