Sarfaraz Khan surprised fans on Monday by sharing a new photo of himself looking much slimmer than before. Reports say the 27-year-old has dropped around 17 kg in just over two months, and judging by the picture he posted, it seems true!

Sarfaraz Khan’s Stunning Transformation
Even though Sarfaraz Khan has played six Test matches and scored 371 runs, he wasn’t included in India’s current squad touring England. However, he did play in the India A tour ahead of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy and even scored a century there.
Sarfaraz Khan made his Test debut against England back in February last year, but he’s still working on securing a regular spot in the team.
Sarfaraz Khan has been consistently scoring runs in domestic cricket, but what’s even more impressive is how dedicated he’s been to improving his fitness.
No Roti, Rice, or Sugar – Just Greens and Protein
So, how did he manage to lose 17 kg? Back in May, after Sarfaraz Khan was picked for the India A tour, his father Naushad Khan shared the full story behind his weight loss journey, and it’s clear that a lot of hard work went into it.
“We have controlled our diet a lot. We have stopped eating roti, rice, etc. We haven’t eaten roti or rice at home for 1 to 1.5 months. We eat broccoli, carrot, cucumber, salad, and green vegetable salad. Along with that, we eat grilled fish, grilled chicken, boiled chicken, boiled egg, etc. We are also having green tea and green coffee,” Naushad told HT.
“We eat avocados also. There are sprouts also. But the main thing is that we have stopped eating roti and rice. We have stopped eating sugar. We have stopped eating maida (flour) and bakery items.”
Naushad revealed that Sarfaraz Khan had given up on Biryani too. “He has almost lost 10 kgs within 1.5 months. He is working on reducing his weight even further. I have reduced 12 kgs myself because I had a knee issue. So, I also benefited from it. The doctor told me that I have to do a knee replacement. So, I told him that I had to delay it. He told me that I have to reduce my weight for that,” Naushad said.
Sarfaraz’s exclusion from the India tour of England didn’t go unnoticed, and it sparked plenty of debate. Several former cricketers openly criticized the decision, pointing out that his consistent domestic performances and recent form deserved more recognition.
