Premier league side Chelsea FC aren’t looking in good form as they lost a game by 4-0 against another Premier League side named Arsenal FC on Sunday, 24th July in Florida Cup. All the teams are currently playing their pre-season games and this game was a part of it.
Chelsea had a very huge defeat in this pre-season game and the players weren’t looking fit. Thus, after the game Thomas Tuchel addressed so many things that needs to be taken care of before the season. Chelsea’s manager thinks the team might still not ready for the Premier League. There are less than two weeks remaining for the new season of English Premier League to start and Chelsea are still finding their best XI.
Chelsea lost two of their best defenders this summer as Rudiger joined Read Madrid and Christensen joined FC Barcelona. Chelsea did try to fill in that position by buying Koulibaly from Napoli but they are still in the race with FC Barcelona to sign Sevilla’s defender Jules Kounde.
“We were simply not competitive. The worrying part is that the level of commitment physically and mentally for this match was far higher for Arsenal than for us. I cannot guarantee we will be ready in two weeks,” said Thomas Tuchel after the game against Arsenal posted by ChelseaTV.
Chelsea has kept Kounde as their priority signing now before signings any other forward player. But the deal looks more in the favour of the La Liga giants (FC Barcelona).
