The International League (ILT20) 2025 season wrapped up on 9 February and Dubai Capitals grabbed the title marking their first victory in the tournament.
The team had a slow start in the season but made a thrilling comeback after winning 6 matches out of their last 7. They played against Desert Vipers whom they had already beaten 3 times in the tournament.
The final match took place in Dubai International Cricket Stadium, where the Capitals won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Vipers gave them a tough score to chase with 189 for 5 where Max Holden made 76 runs and Sam Curran scored 62 runs.
The winning team suffered initially though a crucial turn of events took place when Azam Khan made an error and Rovman Powell was given a second chance. He then finished off with an explosive inning of 63 runs off 38 balls and helped the team reach the winning score of 191.
The winning team received USD 700,000 while the runner-up was given USD 300,000. With all that being said, there were several other iconic moments and awards in the league, so let’s take a look at them.
Champions Crowned: ILT20 2025 Award Winners

The league was filled with incredible performances and here is the list of the most honourable award winners.
Red Belt: The award was given to the Most Valuable Player of the series, Sam Curran for his all-rounder brilliance. He scored a total of 387 tournament runs with 263 being in 10 innings and 4 not outs. He also hit 19 fours and 7 sixes. He also took 7 wickets in the league making him a well-deserving recipient of the honour.
Green Belt: Shai Hope was awarded for being the highest run-scorer throughout the series. He scored a total of 527 runs with a century, 35 fours and 15 sixes. He also became the third batter to score a century in the history of ILT20.
White Belt: Fazalhaq Farooqi became the highest wicket-taker of the tournament with a total of 21 wickets. His personal best was 5/16 against Dubai Capitals on 11 January while playing for MI Emirates.
Blue Belt: Muhammad Waseem of MI Emirates won the Blue Belt for the best UAE player for the third consecutive season in the ILT20 2025. He hit a total of 27 boundaries, including 14 fours and 13 sixes.

The IL T20 2025 witnessed some breathtaking performances from talented individuals who left a long-lasting impact. Here are the top performers who stole the show:
- Highest Individual Score: Tom Banton scored 105 off 55 balls against the Desert Vipers.
- Most Sixes: Johnson Charles hit 25 sixes.
- Most Catches: Tom Banton caught 10 catches in 11 innings.
- Most Dismissals by a Wicketkeeper: Michael Pepper had 3 dismissals in 2 innings.
- Most Sixes in an Innings: Avishka Fernando (vs Dubai Capitals) and Johnson Charles (vs Dubai Capitals) each hit 8 sixes in an innings.
