Leeds has proven to be the fortress for the England team. Joe Root’s team has dominated over Virat Kohli’s men in blue. A much-needed performance from the English men as they look to do everything right, yet again.

What’s wrong with Team India today?

Even though Virat won the toss and elected to bat first, the team wasn’t set to score a reasonable total. James Anderson and Ollie Robinson’s combined effort crushed not only the top-order batsman, but the Indian team could not get the correct momentum to get forward. KL Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujara get out for a duck and the rest of the team wasn’t able to contribute with the bat.

England saw the right opportunity and seized that very moment to turntables in their favor. Team India got their lowest total here at the Headingley Stadium in Leeds. Indians were 78 all out and that was an easy target to get for team England.

Before the day’s play ended, England has scored 120 runs with all 10 wickets still in hand and team India would spend more time on the field. Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed are still on crease and look very very promising to continue play on Day 2.

Mohammed Siraj is subject to racial abuse, yet again?

In another unfortunate incident, the England spectators were seen throwing a ball at Mohammed Siraj while he was fielding at the boundary line. This is not the first time that Siraj had been faced with racial abuse. Siraj was faced with this kind of unruly crowd even in Australia. The TV cameras showed an angry Virat Kohli asking Mohammed Siraj to throw the object out. Rishabh Pant shared this incident after Stumps on Wednesday.

In response to that, an angry Mohammed Siraj is then seen signaling the 1-0 score against the England crowd. Team India will look to bounce back stronger today.
