BWF India Open 2026: How To Book Tickets, Price Details

The BWF India Open Super 750 will be held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi, from January 13 to 18, 2026, marking a major upgrade in scale and fan experience. The previous edition of the tournament was held at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall.

Organised by the Badminton Association of India (BAI) under the aegis of the Badminton World Federation (BWF), the USD 950,000 prize-money event is a flagship stop on the BWF World Tour, offering 11,000 ranking points. It will also serve as a test event ahead of India hosting the BWF World Championships in August 2026.

The Super 750 event will once again feature the world’s top shuttlers, including An Se-young, PV Sindhu, Kunlavut Vitidsarn, Lakshya Sen, and Indian men’s doubles stars Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty. Fans will also get a glimpse of India’s emerging talent such as Unnati Hooda, Ayush Shetty, and teenage prospect Tanvi Sharma.

BWF India Open 2026: How to book tickets 

With a seating capacity of over 8,000, the IG Indoor Stadium offers more than double the capacity of the tournament’s previous venue. Tickets for the Yonex-Sunrise India Open 2026 will be available exclusively online through the tournament’s ticketing partner, Ticmint. The price starts from Rs 400 onwards, with premium seating capped at Rs 1,750.

Fans will also benefit from a phased discount structure designed to reward early bookings, with those who book early being able to avail significant concessions up to 50 per cent. The highest concessions are available in the initial phase, which runs until the end of December, with further offers continuing into early January.

BAI General Secretary Sanjay Mishra described the venue shift as a key milestone in the tournament’s evolution.

“The larger venue allows us to accommodate significantly more fans while delivering a better on-ground experience for players and spectators alike.

“As Indian badminton continues to grow in stature, it is essential that our flagship events evolve in step, creating spaces where the sport, the athletes and the fans can all thrive together,” said Mishra.

“Moving the India Open to the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium marks an important step forward.”
