Indian teams began their PUBG Mobile international journey back in 2018. What started as a small step soon turned into a long list of appearances across world stages, group phases, survival rounds, and grand finals. Across the years, Indian lineups faced changing metas, stronger global opponents, and constant roster shifts. Still, they managed to leave their mark in several major tournaments.
Here is a simple breakdown of how India performed in each global event, along with the format and key results.
PMSC Asia and Global Finals 2018
PUBG Mobile Star Challenge Asia 2018 used regional qualifiers and classic TPP squad matches on Erangel and Miramar. Teams focused more on survival than fighting because the global meta at the time was very aggressive.
8Bit finished 12th by staying consistent in placements, while Team IND secured 16th with decent survival but fewer eliminations.
At PMSC Global 2018, Terrifying Nightmare represented India in the final 16-team bracket. They finished 18th after struggling in early fights, but the experience helped India understand global playstyles for future events.
PMCO Spring 2019 & PMSC Global 2019
PUBG Mobile Club Open Spring 2019 began with open qualifiers and ended with LAN finals. Team SouL qualified and finished 12th with balanced gameplay and steady placements.
PMSC Global 2019 was a major highlight for India. GodLike Esports delivered one of the best international results ever, finishing 3rd overall with aggressive gameplay and multiple strong match wins. Team SouL finished 13th, while Team IND secured 16th, showing India’s rising depth at the international level.
PMCO Fall 2019
The Fall season included South Asia qualifiers leading to global finals. Entity Gaming performed brilliantly, finishing 5th through smart zone control and strong late-game utility use. Team SouL ended 12th, staying competitive in intense end circles.
PMWL 2020 East
PUBG Mobile World League 2020 East used a mix of weekdays and Super Weekends, ending with an 18-match finals format.
OR Esports earned one of India’s best placements by securing 2nd overall. Their strong fragging on Sanhok and stable finishes across maps made them title contenders. Entity Gaming finished 6th, Team IND took 9th, while GodLike ended 19th as they struggled to adjust to the fast-paced lobby.
PMGC 2021
PMGC 2021 was the biggest event of its time, featuring multiple league weeks, Super Weekends, and a massive 18-match Grand Final with a multi-million-dollar prize pool.
GodLike Esports represented India and made it to the Grand Finals. They secured 13th place through steady placements but lacked consistent kill numbers in TPP squad matches. Still, qualifying for the finals itself was a landmark moment for Indian PUBG Mobile esports.
PMWI 2022 and Afterparty Showdown
PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 featured group matches leading to final rounds. Team SouL, representing India, finished 11th after collecting stable top-15 placements.
In the Afterparty Showdown that followed, 7Sea Esports finished 9th with strong survival moments in the late-game phases.
PMWC 2025 and PMGC 2025
At PUBG Mobile World Cup 2025, teams played survival-heavy formats after qualifiers. AxTMG started strong in group stages but finished 22nd overall due to early exits in the finals.
PMGC 2025 introduced a Gauntlet system leading into Group Green and Group Red. Indian teams fought hard but faced very tough competition.
Orangutan finished 35th with 91 points after several top-15 finishes but struggled in early zones. True Rippers finished 36th with 62 points in Group Red, facing elite teams like DRX and Weibo Gaming.
