After a one-month gap, the Indian team will take the field against the West Indies from tomorrow. The India tour of the West Indies will consist of two tests followed by three ODIs and will be concluded with five T20Is. The last two T20Is will be played in Lauderhill, Florida, USA. Here are all the details you need to know before the India tour of the West Indies.
Tests
The squad for Indian tests brought along a lot of controversies with itself. Four openers were picked and still someone like Abhimanyu Easwaran was ignored who has performed consistently in Ranji Trophy for Bengal and on India A tours. Sarfaraz Khan was another notable absentee from the squad alongside veteran Cheteshwar Pujara who was axed from the squad. Making his comeback to the test team after more than a year in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final, Ajinkya Rahane was named vice-captain for the tour.
