Indian bowler Thangarasu Natarajan receives first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Indian and Sun Risers Hyderabad left-arm pacer Thangarasu Natarajan popularly known as T Natarajan received his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. He took to Twitter to share his picture while getting vaccinated. Natarajan was operated on for a knee injury. He is recovering from it.

Among Indian players Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, Deepak Chahar, Siddarth Kaul, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Dinesh Karthik, Jasprit Bumrah, Smriti Mandhana, Rishabh Pant have also received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

Natarajan had to leave the suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 due to a knee injury. He played only two matches in the season. The pacer underwent knee surgery in April and is recovering.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also wished T Natarajan a speedy recovery.
“Wish you a speedy recovery Natarajan. We want to see you back on the field soon,” a tweet from BCCI.

A Tweet from Natarajan post successful surgery.

“Today, I underwent knee surgery- and am grateful for the expertise, attention, and kindness of the medical team, surgeons, doctors, nurses, and staff. I’m grateful to BCCI and to all that have wished well for me.”

Natarajan impressed everyone with his superb yorkers in the 50 over the leg of the series against England in March earlier this year.
