Indian cricket players Jasprit Bumrah, Smriti Mandhana get COVID-19 vaccine jabs

All format Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah got vaccinated on Tuesday, May 11. It was his first dose of vaccine. India women’s player Smriti Mandhana also got her first shot of vaccine on Monday. Sharing their individual pictures while getting vaccinated and urging people to stay safe, Bumrah and Mandhana joined other Indian players who got vaccinated.

“Vaccinated. Please stay safe everyone,” Jasprit Bumrah wrote on Twitter.

Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, Deepak Chahar, Siddarth Kaul, Ishant Sharma also received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine. Last week, Umesh Yadav, Shikhar Dhawan, and Ajinkya Rahane took their first jab.

Smriti Mandhana post her picture on Instagram. She wrote, “Please stay safe and get yourself #vaccinated.”

Recently Bumrah wished Sanjana Ganesan on her birthday. Bumrah captioned a picture of them sharing a lovely moment. The caption read, “Happy birthday to the person who steals my heart every day. You’re my person, I love you.”

Before IPL was suspended due to COVID-19 cases in different teams, Bumrah was in decent form and now will be seen in World Test Championship (WTC) against New Zealand in England in mid-June followed by a five match test series against England.
