The Indian football team is set to lock horns with Hong Kong on in an AFC qualifier match. The Blue Tigers are looking to qualify for their third AFC Asian Cup tournament in a row.
Manolo Marquez’s Indian side, who are coming fresh off a 2-0 defeat to Thailand in a friendly encounter last week, will face a Hong Kong team guided by Ashley Westwood. The Englishman, who has been an insider in the Indian football league set up, is aware of the strengths and weaknesses of the Blue Tigers having posted a win and a draw against them while managing Afghanistan in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers.
Both nations drew their opening group ties in the Round Three of the AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers. The upcoming fixture at the Kai Tak Stadium in Kowloon, Hong Kong, is therefore crucial for both the sides.
