All-rounder Anneka Bosh initially pegged India Women with a couple of wickets and then smashed an unbeaten 66 off 48 balls to ensure a simple eight-wicket victory for South Africa against India in the first T20 International that took place on Saturday.

South Africa chased down the target easily with five balls with opener Bosch (66 not out) and the captain Sune Luus (43 off 49 balls) and shared the 90 runs for the second wicket. South Africa reached 133 for 2 in 19.1 overs.
India, from the last 5 overs, just scored 26 runs and that’s where they lost the match again with a lack of power hitters.

The only silver lining for an otherwise lacking display for India was Harleen Deol’s confident maiden international fifty. India posted a modest 130 for 6 after being chosen for batting.
Bosch hit nine fours and a six in her 48-ball innings. Poor fielding cost India dearly as they concede runs on the field.

South Africa needing 68 from the last 10 overs, kept up their pace without taking many risks, needed just 33 from the last five overs, and later won with an impressive victory.
