In the Narendra Modi Stadium(Ahmedabad), we witnessed a thriller game today as RCB beat DC in a close encounter by just a run.
Winning the toss DC decided to field first, and were somewhere successfull in restricting the RCB Batsmans to 170. But some major reasons for the loss of Delhi Capitals are :
1.Slow Inning of Rishabh Pant in the start
Its been a while since the Wicketkeeper batsman started struggling in the start of building his inning. In today’s match he was seen struggling to even get a run on the board. However Pant went on to hit 58 off 48 balls but still in the end failed to get the win.
2. Openers failed to Contribute
The opening duo of Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan failed to give a perfect start and were seen struggling against the RCB bowlers. The reason why Dhawan got out at 6 and Prithvi Shaw managed to get only 18 runs.
3.Loose Fielding in the First Inning
Fielding is what makes you win the match. But we witnessed some poor fielding display by the Delhi Capitals. The amount of runs leaked via loose fielding is one other reason for DC’s loss.
