The ‘C’ in RCB stands for confidence and consistency and in their 3rd game, they defeated already struggling KKR by 38 runs. KKR had a firm grip in the 1st innings for a short while, until Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villier’s wrath havoc against them.

Both of them tore apart the KKR bowling and played marvelous innings on their part. But there are a lot of things going wrong for KKR in Batting and bowling. Here are the 3 reasons why KKR lost against mighty RCB:

1. Inadequate decisions by Captain Morgan

Eoin Morgan, the English World Cup-winning captain, is on unsolicited turf for his capabilities leading the KKR side. KKR lost the 2nd consecutive match of IPL 2021 and experts, as well as fans, are shocked to see a well nurtured and star-studded lineup losing back-to-back matches.

His in-match decisions are facing criticism and for those decisions, he is under hot waters. Two foreign captains, Morgan for KKR and Warner for SRH aren’t able to do any wonder for their sides and sit-in at the 6th and 8th position respectively.

2. Pressure of BIG run chase

All thanks to Glenn Maxwell’s 78 and AB de Villiers’ 76, RCB ended up setting 205 on the board for the KKR to chase. Chepauk this season in IPL hasn’t been much favorable to the batsman and favorably chase never ends up in good fate here.

KKR tried to chase the target down. The intent at which their top order started their chase, looked positive but the pressure of chasing 10RPO from 1st over itself is heavy. Alas, the chase was faltered as RCB comfortably stop KKR, 38 runs prior.

3. Russell, A liability baggage?

In IPL, prior records and achievements do matter but there need to be regular performances to back those records up for individuals. Andre Russell had a black-and-white 2nf match against MUMBAI INDIANS as he picked up a fifer, but disappointed big time with the bat. He didn’t have a memorable IPL 2020 and struggled a lot.

Russell tried to make his presence feel with some hits but his batting in the 2nd last over against Siraj was abysmal as Siraj exploited Russell’s deficiency, the offside yorkers.
