IPL 2021: BCCI looking to conduct the remaining IPL tournament in the September
The board looks for the September phase after the India – England series.
Now as the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been shown the red flag for an uncertain time, BCCI has now been mulling over the possibility of conducting the remaining part of it in September.
So far 29 of the 60 games have been played and the BCCI is exploring the option of holding the remaining 31 games in September. The officials are said to believe that they have an eye on the September phase, i.e. after the India – England series where the foreign players will be looking to get ready for the T20 world cup.
Brijesh Patel, the chairman of the IPL is looking for the slightest chance and where the board will look to pounce on it.
India is the host for T20 World Cup however there’s another option of changing the venue to UAE which is on standby but still, there’s uncertainty over the venues.
In the present scenario of the pandemic, IPL was the only source of entertainment for many people but with its postponement, they won’t get to experience more of it now with many players testing positive.
