Playing for the Rajasthan Royals (RR), Riyan Parag’s bowling action has caught everyone by surprise on Monday. In an IPL match against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the 19-year-old went extremely low to release the ball when bowling to Suresh Raina.
After Parag bowled the delivery, the umpire was seen having a word with him. Commentators were also surprised and said, “How low is a legal sidearm delivery?”

The right-arm weaker switched to his side-arm action in his only over and at times appeared to release his delivery with his arm coming from an angle less than perpendicular. Many compared his side-arm form to side-arm specialist Kedar Jadhav.

Meanwhile, Dwayne Bravo smashed 20 runs in 8 balls as Chennai Super Kings posted 188/9 in 20 overs. Chetan Sakariya starred for Rajasthan Royals after captain Sanju Samson elected to bowl. Sakariya dismissed Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina in the same over, and then later dismissed skipper MS Dhoni. Faf du Plessis was top scorer for CSK scoring 33 runs.
