Chennai Super Kings made an impressive comeback in the 14th edition of IPL. They are now at the second position on the IPL 2021 points table with two victories so far. They played their third match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai against Rajasthan Royals on April 19, Monday.

Both the teams entered the field without any changes in their playing XI. The match begin with Sanju Samson winning the toss and pocketing the coin, opting to field first. CSK lost their first wicket in the form of Ruturaj Gaikwad in the fourth over by Mustafizur Rahman.

Then, as the match progressed, CSK batters started off smashing the opposition bowlers for boundaries and sixes. The combined effort by all the batters resulted in the CSK posting a 188 runs in their 20 overs.

Now, chasing 189, Rajasthan Royals lost their opening batsman Manan Vohra in the fourth over while he was playing at 14 for 11. However, they kept losing the wickets and were put in a backfoot by CSK bowlers. Buttler’s dismissal later initiated a collapse of the RR’s batting team and their lost. Rajasthan Royals lost the match by 45 runs short.
