IPL 2021: Chris Morris’ capability to hit big sixes must have hurt both Sanju Samson and RR fans
In the previous encounter that RR lost, Sanju Samson denied taking a single, which Chris Morris chuckled upon.
In another shocker, Rajasthan Royals bounced off with a victory, that Delhi Capitals almost won. Chris Morris, the priciest player in the history of IPL, that Rajasthan got the hold of for 16.5cr in auctions before IPL 2021, showed his ability to hit anyone and everyone, out of the park, causing monstrosities for opponents. Morris finished off the match in style for RR, by scoring all-important 36 from 18 balls, with a strike rate of 200 in which there were only sixes, 4 in number.
In the previous match, Rajasthan lost against Punjab Kings, by very fine margins. Rajasthan’s new captain, Sanju Samson stream rolled all-over Punjab Bowlers but wasn’t able to finish it off.
In that very same match, Morris was on the non-striker’s end, and on the second last bowl of deciding over, Samson denied to take a single run, that could have put Morris on strike, and probably, the fate would’ve been different, if the accountability of his hitting ability (as shown on this match) was taken into consideration.
The probable reason Sanju denied taking the single which could be perceived was Morris’ inability in that match to hit and also Samson was having a time of his life. Samson was confident all the way and he thought that he might able to finish the match on his own, which obviously didn’t take place.
There’s no point in discussing stuff that’s in the past but on a contradiction of ifs and buts, this is the thing that genuinely pops up. All dusted it’s good to see Morris proving his worth for Royals, who definitely showed their trust in the South African bowling all-rounder.
