The Indian Premier League (IPL) starts on Friday. Meanwhile, there is good news for the fans of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Chennai has signed Australian fast bowler Jason Behrendorff.

The franchisee has given information about this by tweeting. Behrendorff has been included in the team in place of his compatriot Josh Hazlewood. Hazelwood withdrew from the tournament due to a busy international schedule and family reasons. Behrendorff has previously played for Mumbai Indians in the IPL.

Left-arm fast bowler Jason Behrendorff was unsold in this year’s IPL auction. He kept his base price at one crore rupees. But no franchisee had bought them.

He has taken 16 wickets in ODIs at an average of 32.31. During this time, he took five wickets in the hall. At the same time, Behrendorff has taken 7 wickets in T20 International at an average of 16.71.

Josh Hazlewood was the third Australian cricketer to be ruled out of the IPL this season. Josh Phillip and Mitchell Marsh also withdrew from the tournament. Hazlewood was included in the Chennai Super Kings team last season.

Hazlewood played three matches for Chennai, in which he was able to take a wicket. Chennai Super Kings will start their IPL campaign against Delhi Capitals on 10 April.
