On Tuesday, IPL 2021 was announced to be suspended indefinitely. This move was taken because of few positive cases in various franchises. But before the IPL was suspended, CSK registered a record in it’s name.
This record was of smashing the most sixes ahead of all other teams in IPL 2021. Chennai Super King played exceptionally throughout the season. They smashed whooping 62 sixes in just 7 matches.

Chennai Super Kings are followed by Punjab Kings who smashed 57 sixes in 8 matches. Then comes Rajasthan Royals who smashed 52 sixes in 7 matches.
At 4th comes KKR with 48 sixes in 7 matches and then comes MI, SRH, RCB with 43 sixes in 7 matches. At the bottom is DC with 32 sixes in 8 matches.

CSK who has smashed the highest sixes in the season has 2 of its players in the top 5 six hitters. They are Faf Du Plessis and Ambati Rayudu. However, the highest individual six-hitter of the season is KL Rahul with 16 sixes.
