IPL 2021 : Delhi Capitals launches new jersey for the upcoming IPL season

The Delhi Capitals (DC) launched their new official jersey for the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Friday. The Delhi Capitals invited fans to their office in New Delhi where the jersey was revealed.
The JSW-GMR co-owned franchise picked some of their top fans and invited them to the New Delhi office as a surprise. The CEO Vinod Bisht spoke to the fans and had a heartfelt conversation about their favorite players before unveiling the new jersey.

In a recent release, the Delhi Capitals revealed that the fans will the very first ones to witness the official jersey, even before the players. Delhi Capitals captain, Shreyas Iyer, and the opener, Shikhar Dhawan made the moment more special for fans by connecting with them over a video call and getting a glimpse of the new jersey. The fans were elated.

“Delhi’s fans have stood by the team through ups ad downs, so we must make them feel special,” the Chairman and co-owner Kiran Kumar Gandhi said on the occasion. “To take the fan experience to a different level, we also organized a photo shoot for the selected fans in the new jersey, just like we do for the players. We are glad to have given them a memorable experience. It’s also a very proud moment for all of us at GMR to see the group’s logo on the arm. We cannot wait for the league to kick-off, I wish the team all the very best.”

The Delhi Capitals’ new jersey will remain to be dominated by blue that represents stability and confidence, and red that is a symbol of energy, passion & aggression. It is in a darker shade of blue and graduates to a lighter tone. In addition to the tiger stripes, red tiger claws can be seen on the sides making the overall jersey look dynamic.

The IPL Governing Council announced the league’s schedule earlier this month. It is to be held in India across six venues from April 9th.
