The 2oth encounter of IPL 2021 between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals was dragged to the first ever Super over of the season. Having set called at the toss, Rishabh Pant opted to bat first at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. They set a chase of 160 for the Hyderabad squad. However, at the end, Delhi Capitals were dragged to the nail biting Super over by SRH.

The Capitals, during their innings, took off immediately thanks to Prithvi Shaw as he shot a hat-trick of boundaries. Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi made an impressive 51-run partnership without any loss. Rashid Khan gave the first breakthrough as he picked the crucial wicket of Dhawan in the 11th over while he was playing at 28 off 26.

Now, chasing 160, Hyderabad lost their skipper David Warner in the fourth over owing to a run out. Jonny Bairstow gave SRH an encouraging start and Kane Williamson looked all set to shepherd the fragile batting unit.

Williamson completed his half century in 42 balls. On the said moment, SRH still needed 43 off 24 and Patel gave the Orange Army twin blows in the 17th over. He dismissed Abhishek Sharma and Rashid Khan with back to back deliveries. However, Williamson and Jagadeesha Suchith dragged the match to a nail biting Super over.

However, with not so much of luck with them, Hyderabad boys lost the match against Delhi Capitals even in the Super over.
