IPL 2021: Eoin Morgan’s injury update, Concerns over his availability in initial games for Kolkata Knight Riders

Ahead of the upcoming IPL season, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Eoin Morgan has made a big statement about his injury. He has said that his hand injury is recovering fast. Eoin Morgan suffered an injury during the first ODI against India and due to this he could not play in the last two matches. He had to get stitches in his fingers and had to sit out of two matches. England had lost 2–1 in the series.

Eoin Morgan gave an update about his injury while speaking to the media during the virtual press conference. He said ‘Now I feel a lot better than what was the situation a week ago. There is a plan to get this stitch removed tomorrow. After that I have to focus on my batting in the coming days and weeks and then will start with fielding practice.’

Eoin Morgan was earlier in the bio bubble of England team and from there again went into KKR’s bubble. KKR will play their first match in IPL 2021 from 11 April. Their first match is in Chennai with Sunrisers Hyderabad. Morgan hoped that he would be fully fit by the first match.
