Former Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Dinesh Karthik has revealed the name of his favorite partner inside the team. Karthik described Eoin Morgan as his favorite batting partner, adding that Morgan does not talk much about cricket on the ground because of this he enjoys his company a lot. Dinesh said that Shakib Al Hasan is the best buy from the team in IPL 2021 and his arrival will strengthen the team. KKR will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in their first match on 11 April.

The KKR batsman held a question-and-answer session for fans on Twitter, in which he also talked about his batting position for this season. A fan asked Karthik whether he would come up to bat this season or whether his batting order would be towards the previous season. To this, the wicket-keeper batsman said, “Yes, I know McCullum and Morgan, the batting order will be flexible and it will depend on the situation where I will bat.”

Dinesh Karthik abruptly relinquished the captaincy during IPL 2020 citing his batting, after which Eoin Morgan was named the new captain of the team. However, KKR’s team failed to make their place in the IPL playoffs last season. In this auction, the team has included players like Shakib Al Hasan, Harbhajan Singh, Karun Nair, Ben Cutting. The Kolkata Knight Riders have captured the IPL trophy two times and this time the team is being seen as a formidable contender.
Karthik played well in the recently-concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and played a significant role in helping Tamil Nadu clinch the title. Karthik scored 183 runs in six innings in the tournament at a strike rate of 158.
Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders will play their first game of the season against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 11 in Chennai.
