Talking about Mohammed Shami’s health, Anil Kumble said, “I know that he hasn’t stepped on the field for a long time, for which he is ready now and it is expected that he will play some practice matches and be ready for the first match as well.”

Significantly, Mohammed Shami suffered a wrist injury during the second match of the 4-match Test series played against Australia, after which he has been out of international cricket. Since then, Mohammed Shami was recovering at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. Under the leadership of KL Rahul, the Punjab Kings team will start the 14th season of the IPL against the Rajasthan Royals from April 12 in Mumbai.
