IPL 2021: Pat Cummins allocates his funds to UNICECF Australia’s India COVID-19 crisis appeal

Australian all rounder earlier announced to allocate his donation to PM CARES.

Kolkata Knight Riders star all-rounder Pat Cummins has once again come in highlights after he announced that he ended up allocating his donation to UNICEF Australia’s COVID-19 crisis appeal for India.

Pat Cummins previously announced to make a donation of $50,000 for oxygen cylinders in India. He stated that he would allocate his funds to PM CARES. Many people questioned his decision of allocating funds to PM CARES at that time.

He has once again come in highlights after he announced on Twitter that he ended up allocating his funds to UNICEF Australia’s India COVID-19 crisis appeal. He took to Twitter and made this announcement on Monday.

In a tweet, he applauded Cricket Australia’s initiative to donate India $50,000. He further added that ” FYI I ended up allocating my donation to UNICEF Australia’s India COVID-19 Crisis Appeal”. He also appealed to others to donate as well.

It is to be noted that India is facing a catastrophic wave of COVID-19. India is recording more than 3.5 million cases and above 3 thousand deaths every day. Even IPL has come under the dark shadow of COVID-19.

There are reports that a couple of players in KKR’s squad have come in contact with COVID-19. Even Pat Cummins has to isolate himself. This has even lead to the postponement of the KKR vs RCB match that was scheduled to be held on Monday.
