The bowlers of Punjab Kings had a field day today at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahemdabad as they took wickets of Royal Challengers Bangalore quickly and maintained pressure on the team as RCB chased a score of 180 runs.
The first breakthrough in the match was given by Riley Meredith who dismissed Prabhsimran Singh at a score of 7 runs. Although, the stars of the show were two bowlers Harpreet Brar and Ravi Bishnoi. Harpreet who was playing in his debut match quickly picked up two wickets of big batsmen RCB skipper Virat Kohli and Glen Maxwell back to back and later managed to send AB de Villiers back to the pavilion. This is surely a big feat for a debutant bowler.
Afterward, Chris Jordan managed to claim the wicket of Rajat Patidar when he handed the ball straight to Nicholas Pooran. Ravi Bishnoi’s attack on RCB was brutal as he dismissed Shahbaz Ahmed and Daniel Sams consecutively. Mohammad Shami was able to send Harshal Patel back pavilion as he threw a full-toss which Ravi Bishnoi caught in a nearly improbable dive.
Punjab King’s bowling attack sent the whole batting line-up back to the stands and Royal Challengers folded at 145 at the loss of 8 wickets.
