Thursday’s 22nd April, 2021, was named after Kohli and Padikkal today. They chased down 178 runs without losing a single wicket. They both added 178 runs for the first wicket! This was one of the longest first wicket Partnerships for RCB as well in the IPL.

This majestic win for RCB also consists of some new records that are made today and some milestones that are achieved today. Let us have a look at them:

  • 4 consecutive wins for RCB.

This was the 4th consecutive win for RCB . This is first time that RCB won it’s first 4 consecutive matches since the IPL began.

  •  Devdutt Padikkal becomes the third-youngest player who scored a century in IPL.

Devdutt Padikkal today achieved a milestone as he became the 3rd youngest player to score a century in IPL. Not only this, he became the 2nd centurion of this season.

  • Virat Kohli becomes the only player in IPL history to achieve 6000 runs.

Today Run Machine King Kohli created another unbreakable record as he completed his 6000 runs in IPL. He is the only player in the IPL history to do so.

  • RCB became the only team to win by 10 wickets in IPL.

RCB won the match 10 wickets as Virat and Padikkal added 178 runs for the first wicket. With the help of Padikkal’s century and Kohli’s half-century, RCB became the only team in IPL 2021 to win a match by 10 wickets.

  • RCB is again the table topper now with the highest points.

RCB after today’s win once again became the table-toppers today. They are the only team to win all their matches in IPL 2021. They have also got the highest points.
