IPL 2021: Some senior Indian guys don’t like being restricted, but felt safe, says MI fielding coach James Pamment

Fielding coach James Pamment of Mumbai Indians has said that he felt safe inside the bio-safe environment within the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

Pamment, who arrived in New Zealand on Saturday after the cash-rich league suspension, said while some seniors weren’t very proud of the sanctions, they felt safe inside the bio-bubble created by the BCCI within the IPL.

“Some senior Indian people don’t like being banned and told what to try to, but we felt safe – at no point did we feel the bubble would be compromised, the challenge was travel,” said Pamment.

The second wave of coronavirus has infected many of us in India, and therefore the number of COVID-19 positive cases within the country is increasing at an alarming rate.

The New Zealand cricket coach admitted that he felt that folks were struggling to urge medical treatment once they watched TV and not once they were actually out of the team hotel.

“Yes, you see ambulances on the streets sometimes, but what does one see more when you’re driving on the streets, people waving at you, people queuing to observe your train through a fence Are, ”said Pamment.

“It’s not like you’re during a combat zone, but you’ll see TV pictures and know that the people here are struggling to urge medical needs,” he said.

After IPL 2021 was suspended last week amid growing cases of COVID-19 in India, a replacement Zealand contingent arrived via Tokyo, apart from Tim Seifert, who tested positive for COVID-19.
