Delhi Capitals have had their one of the best start in the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021). The Delhi-based franchise played the game against the three time champions Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In the first innings, DC easily picked seven wickets and later on with the openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw, the CSK bowlers couldn’t keep up and gave the Delhi players a clean chase.
Starting the match, CSK vs DC, the DC captain Rishabh Pant walked in the middle and won the toss to invite SK to put total on the board first The MS Dhoni-led side got off to disappointing start as they lost both the openers within the three overs.
However, Suresh Raina looked in good touch but a terrible mix-up resulted him in a run-out. While batting alongside Ravindra Jadeja, the left handed batsman marched back to the pavilion after scoring 54 runs off 36 balls.
