The Afghani right-handed spinner Rashid Khan took three wickets against CSK to give some hope to Sunrisers Hyderabad. Chennai’s top order completely dominated the run chase as the opening pair of CSK added 129 runs. Hyderabad’s bowlers were expensive and failed to pick up any wicket as most of the time Rashid Khan is their savior. Rashid gave away runs too but picked up his first wicket on the last bowl of his third over. He sent out Ruturaj Gaikwad but till then it was too late for SRH.
Rashid Khan picked up 2 more wickets in his last over and showed the way to the top-order batsmen of CSK. The asking rate till then was below 6 and with wickets, in hand, CSK will not throw this one. Rashid picked up three wickets but gave away few runs in the process. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 3 boundaries in Rashid’s third over before getting bowled out.
Rashid ended his spell after 4 overs and throwing away 36 runs, which is usually not seen from a quality spinner like him. Although he picked up three wickets, it might be too late for SRH to come back in the game and find the second win of the season.
