History of Arun Jaitley Stadium
The Arun Jaitley Stadium was established in 1883 and is one of the oldest cricket grounds in India. It was earlier known as the Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium but was renamed in 2019 in memory of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. The ground is operated by the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) under the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
This ground has witnessed many historical moments. In 1999, Anil Kumble achieved the feat of taking 10 wickets in a single innings against Pakistan on this ground. Many great players of the Indian team have performed brilliantly on this ground.

The pitch of this ground is generally favorable for the batsmen, but with time the spinners also start getting help. High-scoring matches have been seen on this ground in many seasons of IPL. Especially, in night matches, the role of dew also plays an important role here. Because of this, the teams winning the toss often decide to bowl first.

The highest score of Delhi Capitals on this ground is 257, which they made against Mumbai Indians in 2024 and won by 10 runs. Apart from this, the lowest score of the host team on this ground is 66, which they registered against MI in 2017 while chasing a target of 213 runs.

Five matches will be played on this ground this season, out of which the first match will be played between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians on 13 April and the fifth i.e. the final match will be played between Gujarat Titans on 11 May.
