A surprising moment happened during the 41st match of the IPL 2025 involving SRH’s star wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan.

Ishan Kishan Walks Without an Appeal

He left the field and walked back to the dugout even though he hadn’t touched the ball, and none of the Mumbai Indians (MI) players had appealed for his dismissal. This happened at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

The incident took place in the third over of the innings, with Deepak Chahar bowling and Ishan Kishan batting alongside Abhishek Sharma.

On the first ball of the over, Chahar bowled a gentle delivery that drifted down the leg side. Wicketkeeper Ryan Rickelton collected it easily, and the on-field umpire started to signal a wide. None of the Mumbai Indians players appealed for a catch behind.

Surprisingly, Ishan Kishan began walking back on his own, thinking he had edged the ball. The umpire looked unsure, but after a quiet check from Chahar, he gave Kishan out.

Mumbai Indians players ran in to praise Kishan for his honesty, but replays later showed on UltraEdge that there was no contact with the bat. Kishan had walked off for no reason, scoring just 1 run off 4 balls.

Meanwhile, fans on social media lost their cool after this incident and started slamming Ishan Kishan after he walked off without edge or appealing. Check out some of the reactions:
