Quinton de Kock stayed calm and made a great catch to dismiss Riyan Parag in the current match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
Quinton de Kock’s Brilliant Catch Sends Riyan Parag Back
It was up to Riyan Parag to stabilize the innings and set up a big total after Sanju Samson was out, thanks to Vaibhav Arora. The KKR pacer gave his team a strong start by dismissing the dangerous Samson for just 13 runs in the fourth over.
After Samson was out, Parag joined Yashasvi Jaiswal at the crease. Jaiswal, the stand-in Royals captain, had a poor performance in the last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, getting out for just 4 runs. He was hoping to do better against KKR and started his innings well.
He hit three sixes quickly, reaching 25 runs. However, Parag’s aggressive style eventually led to his dismissal. On the last ball of the eighth over, bowled by Varun Chakaravarthy, he went for a big shot. He had already hit one-six in the over but still tried for another and got out.
It was a length delivery just outside the off stump from KKR’s spin leader, and Parag ended up edging it straight over his head. The ball went high, and Quinton de Kock decided to go for it.
Although it was a tricky catch, it wasn’t extremely difficult. However, Quinton de Kock made it special with his bold move. As the ball was in the air, the South African star took off his helmet and positioned himself perfectly under the ball before making a great catch.

Rajasthan Royals will need a strong performance from their middle-order to set a decent total. At the time of writing, they were struggling at 69/3 in the ninth over. Just two runs after Parag’s dismissal, Jaiswal was also out.
The left-hander was dismissed by veteran all-rounder Moeen Ali when he attempted a big shot but mis-hit it straight to Vaibhav Arora at long-on.
