Shardul Thakur’s Remarkable Over in IPL 2025

Shardul Thakur was asked to bowl the 13th over by his captain, Rishabh Pant, when the KKR batters were attacking aggressively. Thakur seemed under pressure as he started the over by bowling five consecutive wides.

He kept releasing the ball outside the off-stump, with each wide yorker attempt missing the mark and going past Ajinkya Rahane. This frustrated Pant, who wasn’t happy with Thakur’s performance. However, Thakur managed to calm his captain’s frustration by dismissing KKR’s captain, Ajinkya Rahane (61 off 35), on the last ball of the over with a full toss.
