Vaibhav Arora Gives KKR a Strong Start Against Rajasthan Royals
The right-arm pacer bowled a stunning delivery to dismiss Sanju Samson in the third over of the game. KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and chose to bowl first. Spencer Johnson started the bowling for the defending champions and gave away nine runs.
It was up to Vaibhav Arora to bowl another tight over and keep the scoring rate in check. However, the KKR pacer didn’t start well as Sanju Samson hit him for a four off the very first ball. The next delivery was wide.
However, just three balls and two runs later, Vaibhav Arora had the last laugh. Trying to play another big shot, Sanju Samson stepped down the track and paid the price for it.
The Royals star stepped down the track even before the ball was bowled, leaving himself in a vulnerable position. Vaibhav Arora bowled a full, angled delivery, and Samson failed to make any contact with the ball. It went on to knock over the leg-stump. Samson was dismissed for 13 runs off 11 balls, including two fours.

Talking about the match, Kolkata Knight Riders won their first match in the IPL 2025 by beating Rajasthan Royals by eight wickets. Thanks to Quinton de Kock’s amazing score of 97 not out, the defending champions chased down 152 runs in just 18 overs.
Moeen Ali didn’t contribute much before being run out for 5 in the seventh over, but de Kock kept the scoreboard moving steadily. Rahane got off to a good start but couldn’t build on it, getting out for 18. De Kock and Angkrish Raghuvanshi then put together an unbeaten partnership of 83 runs, guiding KKR to a dominant victory.
