The final player list for the IPL 2026 auction has been officially announced. The mini-auction will take place in Abu Dhabi on December 16, and a total of 350 players have been shortlisted to be part of the event.
Earlier, 1,390 players had registered their names, but only a select group made it to the final list. This auction is expected to be very competitive, with teams having limited slots and big budgets to manage.
IPL 2026 Auction: Player Breakdown
Out of the 350 shortlisted players, 240 are Indian cricketers, while 110 are overseas players. The list includes a mix of experienced names and fresh talent.
There are 224 uncapped Indian players and 14 uncapped overseas players. On the other side, 16 capped Indian players and 96 capped overseas players will also go under the hammer.
Even though 350 players are available, all franchises together can fill only 77 slots. Out of these, 31 slots are reserved for overseas players, which makes foreign picks even more valuable.
Teams and Auction Purse Update
Kolkata Knight Riders enter the IPL 2026 auction with the highest purse of ₹64.3 crore. The three-time champions can sign up to 13 players, including a maximum of six overseas cricketers.
This gives KKR a strong position to build a balanced squad and target top international names.
New Zealand Players in IPL 2026 Auction
Sixteen players from New Zealand have been shortlisted for the IPL 2026 auction. Several well-known names are part of the highest base price category, showing strong interest from franchises.
