The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini-auction was held in Abu Dhabi on December 16 in which all the 10 teams took the opportunity to give the final touch to their squads.
For the IPL 2026 season, each franchise was allotted a total budget of ₹125 crore to build a squad of a minimum of 18 players and a maximum of 25, with up to eight overseas players. The teams filled a total of 77 slots a pool of 369 cricketers.
Sunrisers Hyderabad invested largely in Indian domestic talent, with the first seven of its signings on Tuesday being uncapped players. Later in the day, Hyderabad bought England all-rounder Liam Livingstone for a staggering Rs 13 crore while Jack Edwards was bought for Rs 3 crore.
They went into intense bidding to signing Indian pacer Shivam Mavi and roped in uncapped Indian all-rounder Shivang Kumar for Rs 30 lakh during the IPL 2026 mini-auction in Abu Dhabi.
After last month’s retention window, SRH kept their core intact, led by captain Pat Cummins, explosive opener Abhishek Sharma, and power-hitter Travis Head, who continue to form the backbone of the team.
