IPL 2026: The Indian Premier League (IPL) is getting a thriller every day. Today is the 43rd match between the Delhi Capitals and the Rajasthan Royals. This match will be played at Rajasthan’s home ground, Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Delhi Capitals will face one of the finest sides today in this season. DC lost a match against Punjab Kings even after putting 264 runs on board, which shows they badly wanted a strong bowler, and Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc will play today for the Delhi Capitals

First match for Starc

Delhi Capitals have managed just three wins from eight matches and have clearly felt the absence of their strike pacer Mitchell Starc this season. The situation, however, looks set to change. In a timely boost, the Australian quickly rejoined the squad last week after recovering from a shoulder injury. And the big question is will he play today? The answer is yes. Starc is in line to make his first appearance in IPL 2026, which comes as a huge lift for DC, especially with the team entering must-win territory and six league games still to play.

Starc bowled in the Nets

Starc’s last competitive outing dates back to January 25, when he turned out for the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League. Since linking up with Delhi Capitals, he has been putting in the work at training, even seen bowling in the nets in a video shared by the franchise ahead of the match. All signs point to him being ready, and DC will be counting on him to hit his rhythm immediately and deliver from the very first ball.

Mitchell Starc started his career in 2014 with Royal Challengers Bangalore. Since then he has played  52 matches. With an economy of 8.61 he took 65 wickets and his best bowling performance was 5/35. Starc . Starc has taken 4 wicket haul twice in his career and 5 wicket once in his IPL Career.
