The best team in the IPL at chasing down one of the most significant totals is Rajasthan Royals. Punjab Kings had the opportunity to bat first in the ninth game of the IPL 2020 against Rajasthan Royals, and they did so successfully, setting a target of 224 runs for Rajasthan. When Rajasthan responded, they quickly lost their first wicket, but Steven Smith and Sanju Samson handled the situation well and contributed 81 runs in a pair for the second wicket.
- Mumbai Indians :219 Runs in 2021
On the list of IPL teams with the biggest chase, Mumbai Indians are ranked second. In the 27th game of the IPL 2021, CSK had the opportunity to bat first against them, and they added 218 runs to the score. With the help of Kieron Pollard, who played an unbelievable match-winning inning of 87 runs off just 34 balls, the Mumbai Indians could reach their 219 runs target. When Mumbai lost three wickets for 81 runs, they briefly found themselves in trouble, but Pollard helped them recover, and they went on to win the game by four wickets.

The third-highest run-chase team in the IPL is the Rajasthan Royals. Deccan Chargers and Rajasthan Royals faced off in the ninth game of the IPL 2008 at Hyderabad, with Deccan Chargers setting a goal of 215 runs for Rajasthan. In response, Rajasthan batsmen Graeme Smith and Yusuf Pathan added 98 runs for the second wicket, enabling them to reach their goal of 19.5 overs. Yusuf Pathan was chosen Man of the Match for his mind-blowing effort of 61 runs off only 28 balls as Rajasthan Royals scored 217 runs and won the match by three wickets.
- Delhi Capitals :209 Runs in 2017
Delhi Daredevils are ranked fourth in the Indian Premier League for highest chases. Delhi reached the 209-run target in the 42nd IPL 2017 match against the Gujarat Lions. The Delhi Capitals responded by sending Sanju Samson and Karun Nair to pursue the target. Nair was gone early, but Samson stuck around and scored 61 runs for his team. Rishabh Pant, who scored 97 runs, finished the remainder of the game. Rishabh Pant was voted Man of the Match as Delhi won the game by seven wickets in just 17.3 overs.
- Punjab Kings :206 Runs in 2014
Punjab Kings is ranked fifth on the list of the highest chases in the IPL. Hyderabad set a target of 206 runs for Punjab Kings in their 39th match of the IPL 2014, which took place at Hyderabad. In response, Punjab lost their first wicket of Virendra Sehwag for only four runs, but Manan Vohra and Wriddhiman Saha handled the situation well and scored a critical 91 runs for the second wicket, enabling them to reach their target. The remaining work was finished by Maxwell, who added 43 runs from just 22 balls. Punjab Kings scored 211 runs as a result, winning by six wickets in just 18.4 overs.
