What a season it has been for Isack Hadjar, the young French Formula 1 driver. From finishing behind the points to finally conquering that well-deserved podium, he is now all set to take a huge step in his career. Reports have now confirmed that Hadjar will be promoted from Red Bull’s junior team, Racing Bulls, to the main Red Bull Racing Team for the 2026 F1 season. This promotion is a reward for his impressive rookie season and marks a major milestone for the 20-year-old star.
Isack Hadjar Turning Heads With Impressive 2025 Run
Isack Hadjar has been turning heads with his strong performances this year. Despite a tricky start to his debut season, including a crash on the formation lap in Australia, he has bounced back brilliantly. His breakthrough moment came at the Dutch Grand Prix 2025, where he achieved his maiden podium by finishing third, a rare feat for a rookie. Currently, he sits ninth in the Drivers’ Championship with 38 points, which is a solid lead over his teammate, Yuki Tsunoda, who he will replace at Red Bull as he sits with just 12 points.
Joining Forces With Max Verstappen
The move to Red Bull’s senior team means Isack Hadjar will join forces with the reigning world champion, Max Verstappen. This is a huge opportunity but also a challenging one since Verstappen is among the best drivers on the grid. Hadjar himself has expressed confidence about stepping up next year.
He believes the 2026 season will be different because it will bring a fresh start for all teams with new cars and regulations. He thinks this “brand new start” will make it easier for him to adapt and compete at the top level.
Isack Hadjar’s promotion also means a seat opens up at Racing Bulls. That spot is expected to be given to another Red Bull junior, British driver Arvid Lindblad, who has been performing well in Formula 2 this year. On the other hand, this shake-up likely marks the end of Yuki Tsunoda’s time within the Red Bull system, as the Japanese driver has struggled to meet expectations.
