The Japanese Grand Prix has begun with Practice 1 concluding on 4 April 2025, and the results might shock you. Yuki Tsunoda, who recently replaced Liam Lawson in a heated F1 shake-up for Red Bull, has proved his worth by finishing in the 6th position at the Practice 1 race. Meanwhile, Liam Lawson, who now races for the Racing Bulls, finished in 13th position.
Ryo Hirakawa, who was named for FP1 earlier this week instead of the main driver Jack Doohan, got his much-awaited chance and finished in the 12th position.
Lewis Hamilton, who has five wins at the Suzuka Circuit and holds the record for the fastest lap, finished in fourth position after receiving new upgrades on his Ferrari earlier this week. George Russell and Charles Leclerc finished in second and third positions, respectively.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Lando Norris took the lead and finished in first position for McLaren, while Oscar Piastri, who won the previous Chinese Grand Prix, could not perform well and finished in 15th position.
