The Kabaddi Champions League (KCL) is a Haryana-based emerging professional kabaddi league with an objective to bridge the gap between grassroots talent and the professional stage.
The inaugural edition of the Kabaddi Champions League is set to kick off in January 2026 even as organisers are preparing for the grand launch.
More than 3,500 players registered for the trials, with over 1,500 athletes participating in the central trials held in Sonipat.
Following a detailed and competitive evaluation process, over 110 players have already been shortlisted, while the final auction pool is expected to include around 200 to 250 players across various categories.
The league will not just provide an opportunity for emerging and grassroots talent, but is also set to feature experienced players in order to deliver quality and competitiveness.
Organizers plan to host two seasons per year to maintain player momentum and engagement.

A total of eight teams will take part in the inaugural edition of the league. They are as follows:

- Karnal Kings
- Panipat Panthers
- Gurgaon Gurus
- Sonipat Stars
- Faridabad Fighters
- Bhiwani Bulls
- Hisar Heros

Kabaddi Champions League 2026: Auction Details
Purse: Each of the 8 franchises will operate with a total player purse of ₹4 crore to build their squads.
Unique Rules: The league has introduced a new “Rulebook” featuring innovations like the Bumper Raid and revised tiebreaker rules to increase match excitement.
Eco-Friendly Mission: In a unique initiative, the KCL has committed to planting one tree for every single raid made during the tournament.
