The excitement for the upcoming Kenya Blaster League (KBL) 2025 is building up. Adding to the anticipation, our sources have now gotten hold of the tentative dates of the tournament.
In what is the first ever franchise-based T20 league in Kenya also approved by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the first edition of the Kenya Blaster League will be on May 30 in all likelihood. The tournament will culminate with the final on June 15.
The tournament is coming to reality after Indian event company SA Event Worx partnered with the Cricket Kenya to pull a large number of fans across the globe to the ever-growing cricket culture of India.

In its first season, the KBL will witness six teams battling out for the maiden glory. The teams have not been officially confirmed yet but will be revealed in due process. They will represent six prominent cities in Kenya.

KBL 2025 will be staged in a single round-robin format, in which all the teams will play one match against each other in the league stage. After the end of the league phase, the top four teams in the points table will play in the semi-finals. The winners will then clash in the final, the winner of which will be crowned as the champions of the first season.
A total of 18 matches will be played in this tournament, including 15 matches in the league stage. There will be two semi-final matches and the final- the summit clash.
Kenya Blaster League 2025: Schedule
According to reliable sources, the opening match of the inaugural season of KBL will be played on May 30. The final will be staged on June 15, making it a 17-day tournament. However, these dates are yet to be officially confirmed. It is believed that Cricket Kenya may release its official schedule next month.

All the matches of KBL 2025 will be played in Gymkhana Club Ground in Nairobi, the capital city of the country. This stadium has hosted several international matches before.
