KL Rahul, the wicketkeeper-batter for India and Delhi Capitals (DC), is likely to miss the first few matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. This was shared by Australian cricketer Alyssa Healy, who is married to fast bowler Mitchell Starc, also joining Delhi for the season.

KL Rahul Likely to Miss Early IPL 2025 Matches?

While talking about the upcoming IPL season, Healy mentioned that Rahul may not play in the first couple of matches because he is expecting his first child. Rahul and his wife, Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty, announced their pregnancy in November 2024.

“No Harry Brook, (so) it will be interesting to see who the replacement player will be. They have KL Rahul, who will probably not play the first couple of games I think… they are awaiting the birth of (their) child, but that dynamic, is really cool. They have that power in the young guys but they also have a KL Rahul who can stitch the innings in T20 cricket. He’s going to be really exciting to watch,” Healy said on the YouTube channel LiSTNR Sport.
