Star Wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha who just recovered from COVID-19 is all set to join India’s squad for the upcoming World Test Championship Final. According to a report of ANI, Even though Saha has recovered and joins the team bio bubble but the selection committee did not take any chances and they decided to add KS Bharat to the group with an eye on COVID-19 guidelines.

ANI reported that its source in the known of the development said that it was a precautionary measure keeping an eye on Saha’s recovery from COVID-19. He further told ANI that if Saha is not fit in the time they would have needed another wicketkeeper as Wicketkeeping is a specialized job and it’s a 3 months-long tour.

It is to be noted that India and New Zealand are all set to play the Final of the World Test Championship scheduled from 18th June to 22 June. The majority of New Zealand players have reached the UK and are in the mandatory isolation period as they take on England for 2 test matches series.

Indian Players on the other sides have reportedly started their Isolation in India and they will reach the UK by the 2nd of June. After reaching England, they’ll undergo another week of strict isolation there.
