Kumar Sangakkara Is the Last Cricketer With 10000 Runs in Test and ODI
Scoring 10000 runs in international cricket is a big achievement for any batsman. But when a player achieves this milestone in both ODI and Test formats, he becomes even bigger. There have been many great batsmen in cricket history, but only a few have reached 10000 runs in both formats. India’s legendary batter Virat Kohli is also not included in this list, he took retirement from his Test career on 12 May.

But in ODI format, he has crossed this milestone easily. He has 14,000+ runs to his name, and he is the fastest batsman in ODI history to score 10000 runs in just 205 innings.

Till date, only two Indian batsmen have achieved this rare milestone, Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. Overall, teen Indian batsmen have scored 10000+ runs in Test cricket – Tendulkar, Dravid, and Sunil Gavaskar, who became the first batsman to make this record in 1971.
Kumar Sangakkara: The Last batsman to run 10000 in both formats
Former Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara is the last batsman to score 10000+ runs in both ODI and Test. He achieved both these milestones in 2012. Sangakkara played cricket in all ten formats for Sri Lanka between 2000 and 2015. His international career ended with a total of 28,016 runs.
