If this was 2019, Leroy Sane was one of the greatest wingers on the planet, if not for his transfer to Bayern Munich, he could have gone on to play for one of the greatest teams in modern times and also achieved much more in England.

His time at Manchester City was brief but he was still regarded as one of the best young prospects in football. Now he is moving to Galatasaray after a 5 year stint at Bayern Munich and has signed a three year contract with the Turkish giants.
Confirmed today by Fabrizio Romano

The deal, confirmed today by Fabrizio Romano, sees Sane set to fly to Istanbul tonight for his medical and the final contract signing ahead of a move that will run through 2028.
“Leroy Sané, with whom we have started transfer talks, is in Istanbul!”, the club posted on social media.

Sane helped Bayern reclaim the Bundesliga title in 2024/25 season, after Bayer Leverkusen had won their maiden title in the previous year going unbeaten in the league, as the winger netted 11 times for the German heavyweights. The left-footer made 30 appearances for the Bavarian giants last year and set up 6 goals for his teammates.
Sane has managed to clinch the Bundesliga title four times over
Sane has managed to clinch the Bundesliga title four times over with Bayern since his return to Germany from England, while also winning the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup once each. He was also part of the German Super Cup winning Munich side twice.

Bayern had offered him a contract renewal but he chose Galatasaray as his next destination. The German is 29 and could have played for any big time in Europe but has made a decision that involves a good summer move with a lucrative salary on the table.
Surprisingly there were not many teams who were interested in the winger and only Arsenal who were knocking the door from the Premier league to bring him back.
